Isn't it time to have your ducts cleaned?

"Indoor Air Pollution is wide spread. You are more likely to get sick from pollution in your home and office than from pollution in the air outside."

FAQ About Duct Cleaning

Q: What is Duct Cleaning?
A. Duct cleaning refers to the cleaning of heating and cooling system components of forced air systems, which are the supply and return air ducts, registers and grilles.

Q: How are the Ducts Cleaned?
A: A High Powered Vacuum is hooked to the main supply by cutting an 8-inch hole into a
duct near the air handler. Which is later covered with a sheet metal patch and then sealed.
A hand held tool with a whip is inserted into each vent, which rotates, blows, brushes and
circulates air. Debris is broken up and pulled into a HEPA filter. Each vent is removed and
cleaned. An optional EnviroCan Sanitizer is sprayed killing mold and bacteria. (Cost $80)

Q: What is EnviroCan Bio Spray?
A: EnviroCan is a anti-bacteria / anti-fungal, which is sprayed into each vent killing all mold
and bacteria. EnviroCan has no odor and is not harmful to pets or humans.

Q: Why do I need to get my Ducts Cleaned?
A: Dust and dust mites, debris, insects, mold, pollen, animal dander and even small animals can get trapped in air ducts. These contaminates can aggravate allergies, asthma and sinus headaches. If you didn’t vacuum behind your sofa for a few months imagine the amount of dust and debris that would be there. Imagine what your air ducts would look like over years with no maintenance.

Q: How often should my Ducts be cleaned?
A: Ducts should be cleaned every 3-5 years. If heavy construction or renovation has been done at your house, a duct cleaning should be performed when completed.

Q: Why are hand-held vacuums more efficient that truck vacuums?
A: Truck vacuums use long tubes that run from the truck to the house. This tube runs throughout the house. The vacuum is powered from the truck. A lot of power is lost from the truck to the vents. Hard to reach areas may be skipped because the vacuum can’t reach them. There is even a chance of the tube breaking. A hand held vacuum allows our techs to go to each individual vent with maximum power and suction efficiency.

Q: How long does Duct Cleaning take?
A: A Duct cleaning takes about 4-5 hours. Larger houses can take all day.
